"I don't suppose I know you very well - but I know you smell like the delicious damp grass that grows near old walls and that your hands are beautiful opening out of your sleeves and that the back of your head is a mossy sheltered cave when there is trouble in the wind and that my cheek just fits the depression in your shoulder." —Zelda Fitzgerald in a letter to F. Scott Fitzgerald, November 1931

Subtle asymmetry
The lone crystal bead on this otherwise perfectly symmetrical necklace gives it the perfect amount of edge. Me like. Me want. From Anthropologie.

Life lately, according to my iPhone
1. Wisconsin weddings. Probably had one of the best weekends ever.
2. A little representation of my fav area code. We should be getting more into Parc Boutique soon.
3. Fourth of July shenanigans.
4. Dock sunsets are the best aren't they? This one was insane, it seriously looked like the world was ending.
5. Boyfriend got me tickets to Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, which, for all you out-of-staters, was cool because it was the first ever concert at Target Field. AND thee best concert I've ever been to.
6. Stopped at Fulton Brewery for drinks before the concert. Coolest concept ever: five beers. At all times. In a warehouse. Come as you are sorta deal. Loved it.
7. Gotta hand it to Kenny Chesney, he's one of the best entertainers in the business.
8. Pizza and wine with the roomies. It's the little things. If you live in the Twin Cities, I recommend the Alfredo Pizza from Element Pizza.
9. Treating myself to a chocolate donut on my birthday. Best decision ever.
10. Getting patio drinks on St. Anthony Main. Such a beautiful view of the city; it never gets old.

Let me have my cheeseball moment
Yesterday was my birthday. (My grandma likes to tell me every year that when I was little I said my birthday was 'ly 'leven, cause, you know, when you're little you can't pronounce adequately and stuff. I'm sure it was adorable.) If you forgot my birthday? Then, well....nothing, absolutely nothing cause in reality it's just another day out of the year so who cares. But you CAN get free slushies at 7-Eleven on my birthday. That'sssss kind of a big deal.
IN ALL SERIOUSNESS. Thank you to everyone who called, texted, or even wrote a little Facebook ditty on my wall (because we all know we love Facebook on our birthday, let's be real here). I was reminded yesterday how much I adore everyone in my life. Like, through the roof. I have the best friends, family, and boyfriend anyone could ask for and there's nothing better than crawling into bed at night with that feeling.

The under $20 shoe MUST.
Can't believe these shoes from H&M are only $18. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite, guess I should just get both?
